Philip is tenacious in seeking the best outcome for his clients. This is borne out by the strong and close relationships he has built up over the years with long-standing clients, such as Stanley Black & Decker and AXA XL.
Philip has done the legal work in relation to development of office, retail, warehousing and industrial space, including forward sale and pre-let agreements. He has also done substantial residential development work, including acting for a number of well-known builders such as Banner Homes and Lovell Homes and is frequently involved in complex option, promotion and conditional sale transactions.
He now has a focus on secured lending work for high net worth individuals and recently undertook a sale and £16,500,000 financing agreement with an F1 Motorsport Team.
With over 40 years’ experience he is able to provide important strategic advice and likes to get involved at the earliest opportunity and certainly at heads of terms stage.
Philip qualified in 1984 and having been a partner at Clyde & Co and Manches, set up Plainlaw in 2002.
